Smart Energy on Pharmacy Bags

Smart Energy GB is an independent, non-profit organisation that helps households and small businesses across Great Britain to understand how smart meters can benefit them, their families and the environment.

We do this by working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders including charities and voluntary organisations to reach people throughout the country, including those in vulnerable circumstances, who may otherwise miss out on the opportunity to get a smart meter.

Pharmacy Bags are ideal for reaching vulnerable groups such as the elderly, those with long-term health conditions, their carers and relations.

The campaign explains the positive impact that having a smart meter installed has, including helping the country to build a more reliable and affordable energy system, and how the accompanying in-home display can help you take control of your energy use and manage your household budget.

Smart Meters are installed for free by your current energy supplier and are hassle free, as they are usually located outside of the home. Initiatives that help us reduce our energy use, are beneficial for the environment and save us money, are a key tools to reaching ‘net zero’ emissions.

The activity is running in 1,000 pharmacies across the Midlands, North West and Scotland.
