DfT THINK! Drug Driving in Pub Washrooms

Three framed DfT THINK! drug driving posters above the urinals in a pub washroom, warning 'Drive on drugs, get a criminal record'

The first drug driving campaign in a decade by government backed ‘THINK!’ reminds people that one poor decision can have devastating consequences.

The campaign aims to stop the rise in cases of Drug Driving and prevent more tragedies on our roads.

New adverts running on our Pub Washroom Panels target drug driving ‘hotspots’ across England and Wales using police data.

This campaign targets young men, as DfT statistics show that around 90% of drivers impaired by drugs in collisions are male and 4 in every 10 are aged between 17 and 30. Between 2014 and 2023, there has been a 70% increase in driver fatalities where drugs were present.

With the tagline, ‘Don’t put drugs in the driving seat’, the new campaign is a powerful reminder at the opportune moment when a reckless choice could be made.

Running throughout December, including the busy Christmas and New Year period when spirits are high and poor decisions are easily made, these panels in Male toilets deliver a hard hitting reminder of the potential consequences of one’s actions.
